Cutting
Plan your cutting requirements with NOKX—from CAD layout to test-block extraction and plate cutting. The route depends on your material, geometry and next production stage.
CAD Layout &
Cutting Drawings
NOKX provides CAD layout and cutting drawings to turn component requirements into clear cutting contours.
Define profiles, curves, openings and key dimensions before cutting.
- Component geometry and drawing revision
- Material thickness and quantity
- Critical dimensions and allowances

Wire EDM
Sample Extraction
Extract test blocks from a completed workpiece for subsequent impact, bend or other specified tests.
The sampling plan defines where each block is taken, its orientation and its identity. Further machining or finishing may be needed to meet the final specimen requirements.
- Sampling location and orientation
- Block dimensions and finishing allowance
- Required tests and identification

Laser
Profile Cutting
Cut arc-shaped, sector-shaped and other drawing-defined profiles from a larger metal sheet.
Arrange different contours within the plate and define the features that matter to the finished part.
- Outer profiles and internal openings
- Arc radii and sector angles
- Critical dimensions and part quantities

Checks That Matter
Sampling
Location, orientation, block dimensions and identification against the sampling plan.
Plate Sizing
Required dimensions, reference edges and agreed cut-edge condition.
Part Profiles
Critical contours, feature positions and delivery condition against the drawing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can NOKX help prepare a cutting layout?
Yes. NOKX provides CAD layout and cutting drawings. Send the component drawing or defined geometry, material thickness and quantity for review.
Is an extracted test block ready for impact or bend testing?
Not necessarily. Further machining, finishing or notch preparation may be required for the particular test. Block extraction, final specimen preparation and testing are separate stages.
Does wire EDM have no thermal effect?
Wire EDM removes material through localized electrical discharges. Surface integrity and any finishing requirements need to be assessed for the intended specimen or component.
Which cutting route is suitable for my part?
Material, thickness, geometry, tolerances and the next operation guide the selection. The examples here show different applications rather than limits on what each process can cut.
What should I send for a quotation?
Provide the drawing, material, stock dimensions or thickness, quantity and required delivery condition. For test-block extraction, also include the sampling plan and test requirements.
Discuss Your Cutting Requirements
Send NOKX your drawing, material and quantity.
